At SDCC 2015, British actor James D'Arcy was on hand to shed more light on what to expect for Edwin Jarvis for Marvel's "Agent Carter" season 2.
Having been confirmed to reprise his role for the next season of the Hayley Atwell-starred show, it was a puzzle to fans on how Jarvis could be brought back.
Backstage at Comic-Con, showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters told reporters, including Digital Spy, how this would be possible.
"We knew we wanted Jarvis and there was a very organic way to make it LA. A lot of '40s defense contractors were out here so it's like, 'OK, Howard has moved to California to that contract with the government, and he's going to open a movie studio. It was a nice organic way to bring Jarvis with us."
But Marvel's "Agent Carter" season 2 star James D'Arcy said Jarvis won't like the City of Angels as much as Peggy will, according to Hypable.
"My suspicion is that Peggy will quite enjoy LA," he said. "I'm not convinced that Jarvis is going to enjoy the relentless sunshine. I think he might have a very British reaction to all of that... I feel like we're going to have some fun, though."
Another thing to watch out for is Jarvis' wife, Anna. We've heard her voice in the first season but this will be the first time fans get to see her in the flesh. But D'Arcy said he was never sure it would happen, according to Digital Spy.
"I think they were genuinely toying with the possibility she was always going to be an off-screen voice. I guess they feel there's more drama to be mined from actually revealing her, plus it's almost the first question anyone ever asks me, 'When will we meet your wife?'"
