HTC Desire 820G+ Vs HTC Desire 820: Which Mid-range Phone Is The Better Choice In India? Display, Specs And Features Compared!

After the HTC One M9 plagued with criticisms, the Taiwan tech firm announces another addition on its Desire phones.

The HTC Desire 820G+ was recently launched in India where mid-range phones dominate the Android market. (via NDTV)

In terms of its design, it has similarities with the HTC Desire 820. Both phones sport the same dual tone plastic casing which has been the trademark of Desire phones.

As for their dimensions, The HTC Desire 820 has the dimensions of 157.7×78.7×7.7mm, while the HTC Desire 820G+ has 157.7x78.74x7.74mm and both weighs 155g. The latter is available in Santorini White, Saffron Grey and Milky-way Grey color variants.

These devices have the same 5.5-inch HD screen display with 720x1280 pixels.

When it comes to its performance the HTC Desire 820 boasts a 64-bit processor one of the few smartphones in the market.It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip with an octa core processor formed by a quad core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and quad core 1GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and supported by a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset and has 2 GB of RAM. While the HTC Desire 820G+ has a 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa core processor paired with a 1 GB of RAM. It has a 16GB onboard storage and can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD.

Both phones have Android Kitkat 4.4 pre-installed along with HTC Sense 6 UI.

On the camera side, they sport a 13MP rear shooter, and an 8MP front snapper, but the HTC Desire 820G+ has better camera features with f/2.2 aperture and a BSI sensor.

They also have the same 2600 mAh battery that can last up to 12 hours of Talktime and up to 560 hours of standby time on the HTC Desire 820G+ while the HTC Desire 820 can last up to 22 h 24 min talktime in 3G.
