Shania Twain is showing that she still "feels like a woman" at the sexy age of 47 as she kicked off her two year Las Vegas show contract this week.
Shania Twain performed on Saturday night at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for the opening night of a residency during which she will perform several dozen shows over the next two years.
"The show is very fun for me," Twain said. "I was a bit worried that we were staying in the same place. Was I going to lose that edge? But I've never had a show this exciting before."
The country singer, who has five-Grammy Awards, worked her way through hits like Man! I Feel Like A Woman!, You're Still The One and That Don't Impress Me Much during her two -hour performance. Twain's catsuit showed off her svelte figure and she included other eye catching elements for her opening night show including a couple of horses, some motorcycles and few acrobats dangling from the ceiling.
"Thank you. Thank you so much. You guys are going to get me all emotional, and then my eyelashes are going to fall off," Shania said to the Caesars Palace crowd.
Twain said she is grateful to her husband, Frdric Thibaud, who may be her biggest supporter.
"I cannot live without him," she said. "I need that support. I just need what we have. It grounds me every day and reminds me that there are a lot of important things going on in the world."
"He keeps it all in perspective," Shania Twain added.
