John Travolta Sued By Ex-Pilot, Claims Gay 'Steamy Affair'

| By

John Travolta is being sued by a former pilot who claims he carried on a secret gay relationship with the actor for several years and is openly talking about it now since he never signed a confidentiality agreement, TMZ reports.

Doug Gotterba was John Travolta's pilot from 1981-1987 and according to the report, he says they enjoyed a "steamy affair". Gotterba has filed a lawsuit accusing the actor's lawyer, Marty Singer, of placing threatening calls to him after he opened up to the media about his relationship with Travolta.

According to the report, Gotterba stated that the only document he signed was a termination form that did not include a confidentiality clause. He therefore argued that he had every right to talk openly about the actor.

"Mr. Gotterba obviously filed this lawsuit to get his 15 minutes of fame. We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed," Singer told TMZ. He added that Gotterba's contract did in fact contain a confidentiality agreement.

This is the fourth lawsuit brought on against Travolta this year. Two masseurs and a cruise worker sued him over accusations of improper sexual behavior, but the suits were later dropped.

Fabian Zanzi, an employee of the Royal Caribbean Cruise company, filed against the actor in May, citing that he was sexually assaulted in 2009 after visiting the actor's room. Zanzi initially claimed that he had delivered an item to Travolta's room on board when the actor requested a neck massage.
