Should fans start buying a "Jon Snow Lives" t-shirt?
"Game Of Thrones" star Kit Harington's long curly hair may not be a big deal for normal people but for avid followers of the HBO show, it's a beacon of hope for his slain character.
Viewers were left numb and devastated after one of the series' fan favorite character, Jon Snow, got stabbed to death by his own brothers in the Night's Watch. Several theories promptly came up on the Internet, ranging from outright denial of his death to possible resurrections.
The "Testament Of Youth" star spurned these theories by watching the Wimbledon tournament with his black curls still looking quite long. The Hollywood Life also reported that Harington was spotted in Belfast where season six is current filming.
"Game Of Thrones" star Kit Harington's hair had been under contract for the entire duration of his stay with "Game Of Thrones".
A Vanity Fair writer also gave fans bigger hope with a revealing tweet.
"Just heard something unsharable that rockets my certainty of Kit Harington returning to Game of Thrones back up to 100%. Okay maybe 99.9999%," Joanna Robinson posted, following up with a photo of a t-shirt saying "Jon Snow Lives".
According to fan theories, Jon is a very vital role in the series, thus making his death unacceptable.
A video by Youtube "Game Of Thrones" theorist Alt Shift X titled "Will Jon Snow Come Back" talks about Jon possibly entering his direwolf Ghost upon dying. The clip further explained that he was a warg like Bran. He supposedly also shared the same kind of connection to his direwolf as his younger brother did to Summer.
A more widespread theory is "R+L=J" which recognizes Jon as the rightful heir to the throne because of his parentage. R supposedly stands for Rhaegar, Mad King Aerys' son who kidnapped and "raped" Robert Baratheon's fiancé and Ned Stark's sister Lyanna (L).
The belief is that they secretly wed, making Jon a legitimate heir to the throne. Being both a Targaryen and a Stark, he would, in essence, be the "Song Of Ice And Fire" in George RR Martin's books.
His death would have been necessary to release him from his oath to the Night's Watch which mandated him to "wear no crown".
Do you think "Game Of Thrones" star Kit Harington would still be coming for more seasons in the future?
