Brody Jenner is not keeping up with the Kardashians.
In a recent report by US Weekly, the son of Bruce Jenner who is now Caitlyn Jenner and stepson of Kris Jenner said the Kardashians are "technically" not his family anymore, adding that he did not even know about Kim Kardashian's second pregnancy when the news came out.
"To be honest, I don't even really know Kanye that well at all. I've really only met him one time," Brody Jenner said about his relationship with the Kardashians. "That's the one things that people don't really understand is that we live two completely separate lives."
He further said, "And everybody ties us in together as the Kardashians and the Jenners. I mean, [Kris and Caitlyn] got a divorce, so they're not even technically my family anymore."
Brody Jenner is the son of Bruce and actress Linda Thompson, before he had Kris Jenner as his Kardashian stepmother bringing him his stepsiblings Kourtney, Kim and Rob as well as half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
The reactions of the Jenners and the Kardashians over Bruce's transformation to Caitlyn Jenner were mixed, with the statements of Kris Jenner as one of the most dramatic.
"I just miss Bruce," Kris said in the report by People.com. "And that's going to take me a minute to mourn that relationship. You think you're going to grow old with somebody, and they drastically change over the course of just a few years."
Meanwhile, Brody Jenner, despite the Kardashian relationship issue, is reportedly in a good and "new" relationship with his father Bruce, now Caitlyn Jenner.
"Being around Caitlyn is inspiration," Brody Jenner said in the report by Daily Mail. "She is a lot happier. Bruce was covering a lot of secrets and you can always pick up on that with people. It's just awesome to see."
However, he also noted that he does not hang out much with his stepsisters and half-sisters, saying that he is not too close to them.
"Growing up, we had two completely separate lives," he said. "The Kardashians were the Kardashians, and the Jenners were the Jenners."
