The "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston previously shared that he and his onscreen wife, Mia Wasikowska will have a very complicated marriage and love story in Guillermo Del Toro's new horror film.
So why does Jessica Chastain and rest of the cast think that it's the perfect movie to watch with your significant other?
The helmer already cleared up the misconception of the "human-like" Allerdale Hall as the main focus of the film. Instead of the horrors within the walls of the Sharpes' ancestral home, it's Thomas (Hiddleston) and Edith's (Wasikowska) marriage that's the "sort of the climax or the high point of a story".
True to its gothic romance format, "Crimson Peak" will feature Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska as the tragic characters whose love story and horrific problems will start after getting married.
However, is this enough for couples to watch during date night?
Chastain, who plays Thomas' sister, Lucille, definitely thinks so, insisting that the film can both scare and warm the hearts of its audience.
"It's romantic and scary, so it's the perfect date movie," the "A Most Violent Year" star told Yahoo News in an interview. "Because you go with your love or your wannabe love, and then right when it's getting romantic, you kind of cuddle, and then when it's scary, you cuddle more."
"They could put that on the poster! 'Crimson Peak: The Cuddle Movie'," Hiddleston jokingly added.
However, eager fans should be wary of the film's very R-rated nature. The "Avengers" star confirmed this to i09, admitting that "there were some hard scenes, yeah."
He also hinted at an "interesting dynamic" between his character and Chastain's and hints that there might just be an incestuous bond between the siblings.
"They're a brother and a sister who've been orphaned, and they're in this big old house, and they have a very deep connection," he teased.
Do you think "Crimson Peak", as Tom Hiddleston And Jessica Chastain teased, would be a perfect movie for a date with your loved one?
The gothic horror film will premiere in cinemas on Oct. 16.
