It's not until 2017 when fans would get to see Chris Hemsworth again in "Thor 3."
And while production hasn't started yet, there are already rumors circulating about the sequel's possible plot.
Marvel's CEO Kevin Feige has yet to give out details, but apparently Thano's involvement in Asgard's apocalypse will definitely set the stage for "Avengers: Infinity War."
And while the said speculation has yet to be discussed, Feige, in an interview with Collider promised that details about "Thor 3" will be given out soon.
"Probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer," he promised. "May be the same person, I don't know, may be two different people."
It has been once rumored that director Kenneth Branagh is up to do another "Thor" film, however Feige was quick to dismiss such claims saying, "Not true. I don't know where that came from."
Meanwhile, Jamie Alexander, who starred in both "Thor 1 and 2" revealed details about her character Sif.
In an interview with MTV while promoting her new NBC series "Blindspot," Jaimie Alexander revealed that she'll be returning for "Thor 3."
"Yes," said Alexander when asked if she'll suit up again as Sif the Asgardian warrior.
And while she's confident that she's returning for "Thor: Ragnarok," she's not certain if how important her character would be in the film's plot.
"I don't know the answer to that question, but I know I'm in it," Alexander answered when asked how major her role would be.
In other part of superhero universe, Alexander has weighed in on Gal Gadot, who's portrayal as the new Wonder Woman in DC Cinematic Universe has received quite mix reactions.
Alexander said that she's "sure" the new Amazonian Princess will do justice in her role saying, "I know what kinda work goes into those films. You train, you work out a lot and you make sure you can do what you say you can do. I'm sure that she will kick ass. I can't wait to see it."
"Thor 3" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
