Emily Bett Rickards Says Felicity Should Stop Crying A Lot In 'Arrow' Season 4; Producer Hoping Another DC Hero Can Join The Show

| By

"Arrow" season 4 release date is still three months away and many things are expected to happen inside the writer's room. Does this include Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) returning to her geeky self?

Last season, Felicity's storyarc did not sit well for some "Arrow" fans. She became the love interest of lead character Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).

Although Olicity fans were happy about how their romance went out, some are disappointed because the genius Felicity was away from a computer for most of the time. Instead, she is always seen crying, disapproving of Oliver's decision.

When the "Arrow" season 4 release date arrives, Felicity will still be with her boyfriend Oliver. The two left Starling but according to recent spoiler, a Thea situation will bring the Arrow back to the city.

The setting between Felicity and Oliver will be the same. However, for Emily Bett Rickards, just like other fans, she wants her Felicity to become less emotional.

"She felt like she was crying a lot. I feel like she went through a year that wasn't necessarily her favorite. I agree. I feel like she lost a little bit of her strength to a certain extent," she said in an interview with IGN.

"Hopefully, she gets funnier again because I don't want to see her crying all of the time," Rickards continued. "It was a big disappointment to me to have her crying a lot-because one thing I love about Felicity so much is that she's so strong and independent and sticks to her guns and is true to herself."

Even Rickards know!!!

Another DC legend coming?

There is no more "Constantine" season 2. However, fans of the NBC TV series starring Matt Ryan in the title role might still see the character in the boob tube. In last week's Comic-Con, executive producer Wendy Mericle told IGN that he is optimistic they will have the supernatural detective appear in "Arrow."

"Yeah, we really want to do it," said Mericle. "It's something we've been talking to DC about and it's just a question of some political things, but also the actor's schedule. We're trying to work it out, but we don't know 100 percent if it's going to happen."

"Fingers crossed," added Amell.

"Arrow" season 4 release date is October 7
