New season, new villains - this is what fans can expect when "The Flash" returns three months from now. Reverse Flash is returning but he is not the only one Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his crew will have to deal with.
Recent "The Flash" season 2 spoiler revealed Zoom will make the life of the Scarlet Speedster harder. Aside from him, the show is also preparing new bad guys.
Old villains are also expected to return, particularly Grodd, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell). However, their agenda will be different now. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in "The Flash" season 2 spoiler revealed to Comic Book Resources said the villains have different motivations to take down the fastest man alive.
"The kinds of villains we're having and what their agenda is is certainly different this year," he said.
Kreisberg also explained what kind of storyarc for "The Flash" villains is prepare this new season.
"Last year was about getting the band together and Barry's first steps into being a hero. This year is about what it means to really do that. One thing that's different from the other shows we've done is that Central City knows about the Flash. He's becoming a public figure," he said.
"Watching Barry deal with becoming famous and not just the mysterious red streak is something we deal with a lot in the early episodes."
Carlos Valdes and Danielle Panabaker also shared juicy "The Flash" season 2 spoiler regarding their characters Cisco and Caitlin Snow, respectively.
Valdes said his character, who previously teased will take steps closer into gaining superpowers, will face "biological challenges."
As for Caitlin, Panabaker said she is excited to unravel the Killer Frost in her.
When I signed onto the show, we talked about Killer Frost and I'm so excited to play her," she said.
"I would like for it to happen in Season Two."
