He was Jennifer Lopez' stalker in "Boy Next Door" but Ryan Guzman looks like he'll be an inspiration to young people as hinted in the first "Heroes Reborn" trailer released.
In the action-packed teaser released last June, Guzman can be seen talking to an auditorium full of children, telling them that they can become heroes even without super powers.
Could the 27-year-old be one of the EVOs or humans with special abilities? It would be understandable for him to hide his ability if he is, seeing as EVOs are being hunted down in Tim Kring's reboot of the cult series.
According to previous reports by Yahoo, Guzman will play a former soldier named Carlos. NBC reportedly described him as "a different type of hero". Could this mean that he would be like Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), helping out the EVOs even though he doesn't possess powers of his own?
He played coy about his role during an interview with Entertainment Weekly during Comic Con last week, where NBC revealed an extended "Heroes Reborn" trailer featuring new and old faces.
"He's a guy with a troubled past and he's getting honored for something he shouldn't be and he's finding his way around the series," Guzman shared to EW.
"May or may not be a hero," Tim Kring quickly added, which the actor reiterated.
Whether or not he's one of the good or the bad guys, fans will have to find out when the new show premieres on NBC this Sept. 24.
Guzman will be joined by other new characters on the show, including Zachary Levi who will play a "wildcard" character, Robbie Kay, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Kiki Suzukane and more.
Returning cast members Jack Coleman (Noah Bennett), Jimmy Jean-Louis (The Haitian) and Masi Oka(Hiro Nakamura) were also present during the series' Comic Con panel, with Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman) moderating the event.
