Ellie Goulding is more than ready to release a new hit with her upcoming album.
While she has yet to set an official release date, the "Love Me Like You Do" hitmaker has confirmed that everything is right on track.
In an interview with Capital FM the 28-year-old English singer candidly shared details about her upcoming new album as she claimed that her 2015 goal is to finish recording, which could possibly lead to another "Fifty Shades of Grey" hit?
"The album's going well," Goulding said. "I'm just trying to take my time a bit more, this year my focus is solely about getting my record finished."
Knowing how successful her "Love Me Like You Do" single is, it's now surprising if one of her singles will once again be chosen to ba an official soundtrack to the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.
And if she does finish recording her album this year, it's safe to assume that Ellie Goulding would most likely set the release date next year.
"The only big thing coming up for me now is my third album, which won't be out until next year. Everything is going into that," Goulding revealed.
And while she's very much aware of the phenomenal success of "Love Me Like You Do," Goulding is still in shock as to how her single could be such a hit.
"This song has just gone absolutely bonkers," she said. "It's just surreal, I can't even fathom it right now. I feel like the luckiest person in the world."
"When I'm like 'this song means everything to me, it has to do well,' and it doesn't do as well as I think then it's so sad. But when I'm like 'Well, I hope it does good but I'm not going to go crazy about it when it doesn't,' and it does, I'm like, how does the psychology work on this?"
