Following the surprisingly highly successful dragon-themed animation movie, DreamWorks is back with "How To Train Your Dragon 3."
Three years after the events of the second installment to the franchise, Hiccup and Toothless are reportedly going to embark in another adventure that promises to be a "tearjerker," Movie News Guide reported.
While DreamWorks has yet to officially give out information as to what fans should expect in "How To Train Your Dragon 3's" plot, Latinos Health reported that it will somehow resemble that of "Toy Story 3."
Although completely different, fans will reportedly get the same feeling they got from "Toy Story 3," where Woody and Buzz had to embark on a new adventure without their old pal Andy.
Apparently, the plot will see less of Hiccup as he becomes an adult, while Toothless tries to embark on his own adventure.
The publication added that "How To Train Your Dragon 3" plot will somehow end where the original book reportedly began.
"We are gonna take the story to where the books begin, which is Hiccup as an adult reflecting back on a time where there were dragons, suggesting that the dragons will in some way go away. Why and could they come back and the mystery of what all that is will be saved for the actual story," writer-director Dean DeBlois said.
Alternatively, Dean DeBlois claimed that "How to Train Your Dragon 3" could also feature the story of Drago Bludvist, which was never been told in the prequels.
And while fans the movie is expected to become a "tearjerker," Screen Rant reported that the release date to "How to Train Your Dragon 3" was apperently delayed due to Pixar's "Finding Dory."
Apparently, DreamWorks is not going to take its chances going toe to toe with the sequel to one of the best selling animated movie ever made, thus it decided to push back its release date.
Previously slated for June 17, 2016 launch, "How to Train Your Dragon 3" will now hit theaters on June 29, 2018, going up against Warner Bros. "The Lego Movie 3."
