Pixar Animation is now reportedly ready to present the new trailer of "Finding Dory" to the public at D23 Expo happening in August.
Fans who have waited for over 10 years will finally get to see a glimpse of the most famous aquatic animated animals in theaters again.
And while it's not until 2016 when Dory and her good old pal Marlin will make a splash and embark on their new adventure, Hypable claimed that Pixar together with Disney will present the upcoming "Finding Nemo" sequel first time in public at Disney's Annual Fan Convention in Anaheim, Calif.
The event is titled "Every Story Is a Journey: The Upcoming Films of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios" will be hosted by Pixar COO John Lasseter. The event will present trailers from upcoming Disney and Pixar movies including "Finding Dory," "The Good Dinosaur" and "Zootopia and Moana."
"Filmmakers will unveil never-before-seen footage from Pixar's upcoming The Good Dinosaurand Finding Dory and Disney Animation'sZootopia and Moana. The event will include surprise announcements, musical performances, and appearances by the films' star voice talent," Disney reportedly said.
According to VC Post, the highly anticipated "Finding Dory" will take place six months after the events of "Finding Nemo" "based on Gabriela Cowperthwaite's documentary about Seaworld, entitled 'Blackfish.'"
While there's no news of what will be shown in the trailer, Dory is apparently going to embark on a journey back to Marine Biology Institute of California where she was born and where she apparently "lost" her parents.
"In her journey, she will reportedly come across a giant squid, a kelp forest, falling shipping containers, and a whale shark," the publication added.
It's not clear though if Nemo would take on a bigger role this time since Comic Book Movie reported that the entire story of "Finding Dory" will most likely focus on the adventures of the forgetful blue tang fish and her friend Marlin.
Movie Pilot added new characters would include an octopus, sea lions and a beluga whale.
Apparently, "Modern Family" star Ty Burrell will be playing the role of Bailey, the beluga whale, while "The Wire" stars Dominic West and Idris Elba are also set to appear in the sequel to "Finding Nemo" in unknown characters yet.
Shortlist.com previously reported that West announced that he will be reuniting with his co-star Alba in "Finding Dory" saying,
"I saw Idris recently. We're both in the sequel to 'Finding Nemo,'" West revealed.
Confirmed returning cast members are Albert Brooks as Marlin the clown fish, Willem Dafoe as Gill, Vicki Lewis as Deb and her sister Flo and Ellen De Generes as Dory.
While, "Something's Gotta Give" actress Diane Keaton and "American Pie" actor Eugene Levy will be playing Dory's "lost" parents.
Disney and Pixar reportedly set "Finding Dory" release date on June 17, 2016 to coincide with Pixar's 30th anniversary celebration.
