Floyd Mayweather Jr Looking For Easy Fights Says His Father, Dad Suggest Retirement Should Be Next For His Son

| By

Floyd Mayweather Jr's next fight opponent is yet to be named but the undefeated American fighter has already started training.

The fight, according to Pretty Boy himself, is scheduled on September 12. Floyd is just coming off a big win against closest rival Manny Pacquiao. The American beat Pacman on May 2 via a unanimous decision. Will his next fight be against a big name?

The other name in Floyd Mayweather Jr's next fight remains a mystery. Many are applying for the job but then Pretty Boy is still mum about it. While many are looking forward to Floyd Jr's next fight, his father has a completely different view. For the older Floy Mayweather, his son should retire because he is just picking easy fights.

"Floyd told me he just wants to get a couple of easy fights," Mayweather Sr. told MLIve.com "My honest opinion, if he feels that way, he should get on out of the game."

Floyd Mayweather Sr. also lamented how replaceable his kid is wit the way media treats him.

"If he don't stop, it's showing - the analysts, everybody, they don't like Floyd. When it goes like this, it's just a matter of time. They're looking for the next guy," Mayweather Sr. added in the interview.

Right now, the top names in the welterweight boxer are leveling up their application to be on the other corner of Floyd Mayweather Jr's next fight. The methods they mostly use are insults towards the undefeated Floyd. One of them is British boxer Amir Khan who has been very vocal about his desire to fight Floyd. In his latest tirade, the current owner of the World Boxing Council WBC Silver Welterweight title said Floyd Mayweather Jr is bad for the sport.

"I think he is [becoming bad for boxing]. I've always asked, why finish your career on a low note? People want to see him finish his career on a high, fighting the guys people want to see him fight.

"The fans all want to see him fight against Amir Khan. Does he really want to end his career by fighting someone he knows he's going to beat and beat convincingly?"
