'Legends Of Tomorrow' Cast Will Time Travel To 1st Season Of 'Arrow' And 'The Flash'; Showrunner Says LoT Is More Like 'Ocean's 11'

| By

Time-travel will be one of the biggest elements in upcoming superhero series "Legends of Tomorrow."

The team, composed of characters that appeared before/appears in "The Flash" and "Arrow" are tasked to save the future by preventing supervillain Vandal Savage from destroying the world.

"Legends of Tomorrow" cast is headed by Victor Garber as the other half of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Arthur Davill as Rip Hunter, and Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl.

With the fact that this new show is connected to "The Flash" and "Arrow" don't be surprised to see some of "Legends of Tomorrow" cast in the two mentioned superhero series. Also, calm down if those who have been long dead reappear.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed to io9 that there will be instances that "Legends of Tomorrow" characters will travel back to the earlier seasons of "The Flash" and "Arrow."

"That's the beauty part of a time-travel show. You can go back to season one of Arrow, or even before then. That's part of the fun. So much of it depends on, what stories are we telling, and are the actors game for reprising their roles?"

Among those fans will probably get to see again are Robert and Moira Queen, the parents of Green Arrow (Stephen Amell).

Guggenheim also explained how time travel from "Legends of Tomorrow" will affect the universe of the two older shows.

"The concept of time travel that was introduced on Flash is going to be applied consistently within the Berlanti-verse. So that said, we're not doing to use time travel on Legends to retcon something on Arrow."

"Legends of Tomorrow" cast and characters are straightly connected to those from "Arrow" and "The Flash". However, LoT will be different in terms of tone. While "Arrow" looks dark and "The Flash" is family oriented, showrunner Phil Klemmer explained "Legends of Tomorrow" will feel like heist movie franchise "Ocean's".

"Arrow is super-dark, vigilante, grim, crusader of justice. And Flash has a sort of lightness and family quality that ours will be a little bit closer to. But ours is a little bit more adult, a little bit more madcap, more of like a caper. It's sort of Ocean's 11, where you have this team of misfits who've been sent on, essentially, a suicide mission. It will have a lot of interpersonal tension, but it's almost like a family dynamic between people who don't get along, but they're forced to get along, because they're stuck on this time-traveling space ship and having to save the world. But if it weren't for that, they would absolutely kill each other!"
