Anthony Bourdain's KFC addition and his recent compliments of the food chain must have the food chain grateful, as the renowned American chef regarded for his bizarre food adventures said leaving the fast food is like getting out of a "porn shop."
Anthony Bourdain, a KFC frequent visitor, is currently on his food-focused story-telling tour around some states, which started in Nashville last July 7 and now made a stop in Atlanta, a report by website Eater said.
Titled "Close to the Bone," the adventurous chef narrated stories on a variety of topics which include bacon tattoos, controversial television host Adam Richman, Guy Fieri and stories about his daughter.
Anthony Bourdain reportedly spent a lot of time detailing his experiences traveling the world in many plates, and even joked that this is "proof there is no God."
He further noted that the kindest people he has ever encountered are from countries such as Iran. He also reportedly marvelled that 15 years ago, he was a penniless chef and now he is able to "pocket more than $50,000 just by talking on stage for 90 minutes."
One of most shocking revelations the Anthony Bourdain as a KFC enthusiast shared during his talk was how he loves the fast food for its macaroni and cheese, Eater reported.
"When fans catch him at the chain, he says it's like 'being recognized leaving a porn shop,'" the website shared.
Meet the new food in KFC town
The KFC chain in the Philippines has recently unveiled a new food on the menu called "Chizza," a pizza which dough is not a crust but - what else - chicken.
The traditional pizza crust is a chicken crust in KFC, using its signature fried chicken topped with your favorite pizza ingredients, The Vine reported.
"From an Aussie perspective, it really doesn't seem all that different from that of a classic chicken parmagiana... maybe just a bit greasier," the report added.
Anthony Bourdain, the KFC fan may not be addicted to its chicken, but he better travel to the Philippines - again - to try the local KFC "chizza."
