Iggy Azalea's sex tape issue went from being an adult entertainment CEO's offer to a bitter legal battle against her ex-boyfriend.
Her lawsuit against Hefe Wine wasn't just about the alleged compromising video. The "Fancy" rapper accused her former lover and manager of stealing yet-to-be-released songs and even used them for his own album.
About a year after the issue started, both parties finally reached a settlement regarding the lawsuit. Despite asking for a huge compensation, Wine only got a "small" cheque from the Grammy-nominated musician, according to TMZ,
"As one source put it ... 'He couldn't even get a Honda Accord out of it'," the gossip site emphasized.
In lieu of the settlement, the rapper took to Twitter to express her thoughts about her ex-boyfriend.
"Is it teen angst that makes us have such far out, abrasive, and sometimes even illogical opinions when we're young?" she asked her followers, reported the Daily Mail. According to the site, she might be referring to her past relationship with Wine.
She was reportedly just 17-years-old when they dated in 2008.
"I feel like the older I get the more fluid my opinion or perception is on almost everything. Makes for much better conversation over a meal," she continued, "It's not that I've stopped being able to make up my mind definitively. It's just that life is f***ing complicated and who am I to judge."
Iggy Azalea's sex tape controversy and lawsuit, or anything else for that matter, didn't make her sad. She admitted that the topic came up when she was talking to friends.
"With age comes maturity and with maturity comes wisdom," she added.
In fact, according to TMZ, the "Black Widow" rapper felt relieved that the "epic legal battle" is finally over. She can now focus on her music and preparations for her wedding with fiancé Nick Young.
Her engagement with the LA Lakers player isn't all hearts and roses, however. Their relationship had been under fire lately because of Young's alleged cheating. Recent reports even suggested that the rapper already wanted out of the relationship.
Nevertheless, her basketball star boyfriend supported his girlfriend during Iggy Azalea's sex tape issue last year.
