It has been revealed that there will have no time jump from first season when "The Flash" season 2 release date comes.
The first episode of the CW Network's sophomore season will pick up shortly from where it left off in the first season finale. With that said, where will the characters that vanished be found? Among them are Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) and Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh).
Between the two, it is the latter that is surrounded with so much confusion since he is originally a good guy whose body was used by the original Eobard Thawne. Plus, fans can't let go of Cavanagh because of his effective portrayal of both Dr. Wells and Reverse Flash.
Harrison Wells is one of the few "The Flash" characters who did not originate from the comics. Does this mean he won't be in credits anymore when "The Flash" season 2 starts rolling? Waiting for scoop regarding the enigmatic scientist ends today.
The painful waiting of "The Flash" season 2 release date, especially to those fans of Tom Cavanagh, will become less painful as according to the actor himself, Harrison Wells will definitely return.
"I would say we've come out of the gate already in filming. And I've been a part of that," Cavanagh told Comicbook.com when asked when Harrison Wells will specifically return in "The Flash" season 2.
Cavanagh was also asked if the real person behind the professor of the Scarlet Speedster (Grant Gustin) will be seen in "The Flash" season two.
"Harrison Wells, I feel, is one of the very few elements that doesn't exist in the Flash comic book mythology. A lot of what we do is adhered to eighty-plus years of mythology, but Harrison Wells was a new introduction, and an important part of our genesis story. We didn't change how he got his powers. All of that was true. But Harrison Wells was an added element to hide the villainy in the show. Which Thawne was the good Thawne? Which Thawne was the bad Thawne? It ended up being a big part of our season finale. I think we employed that device of using Harrison Wells to do that last year. And I think this year we'll try a different tactic, but in some ways they're not too dissimilar from one another."
As to whether he will still be in wheelchair or not, the actor said "You'll get that answer very soon. Why spoil it?"
"The Flash" season 2 release date is October 6.
