"Girl Meets World" will reunite famous 90's couple, Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence from "Boy Meets World" in a highly anticipated sequel, according to reports.
Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel have officially signed on to reprise their roles as Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence in the red-hot Disney Channel pilot Girl Meets World, Disney confirmed according to Us Magazine.
"Girl Meets World" pilot will center around the couple's 13-year-old daughter, Riley. The sequel will follow Cory (Savage) and Topanga's (Fishel) teen daughter Riley. "Boy Meets World" creator Michael Jacobs is behind the project.
"I'm very excited for Disney and [creator] Michael Jacobs," William Russ, who played Cory's dad Alan Matthews on the series, said in a statement to HuffPost TV. "They are a great team and will produce an exceptional show, I have no doubt."
