‘Marvel’s Jessica Jones’ Netflix Series: Luke Cage On Fire, Bar Explodes In Paparazzi-Snapped Set Photos [Photos and Video]

Apart from an updated title, a brief synopsis and a few other details, we still don't know much about "Marvel's Jessica Jones" Netflix series. The latest set photos from paparazzi show another action-packed superhero series in the same vein as the much-loved "Daredevil."

"The photos show what should be a very alarming scene - a man on fire, running out of a building. Fortunately, the man in question happens to be Luke Cage [Mike Colter], who has unbreakable skin (among other powers) and is therefore invulnerable to fire," /FILM wrote.

According to Comic Book, the scene follows a bar explosion filmed at Vazac's on Avenue B and East 7th Street. East Village Today managed to capture footage of the scene which you can watch below:

In the video, Krysten Ritter's stunt double is pushed back onto protective mats after a simulated explosion. The stuntwoman is seen standing up afterwards.

More set photos can be seen at Comic Book Resources here.

"Marvel's Jessica Jones" Netflix series commenced filming earlier this year. The Daily Mail also managed to snap lead star Krysten Ritter in her character's signature look - black leather jacket and washed out skinny jeans - and covered in splatters of fake blood.

From the set photos, the series seems to follow "a more grounded, realistic tone" set by this year's hit "Daredevil," as /FILM pointed out.

"It should also be fun to see how [Jessica Jones and Luke Cage's] relationship unfolds as the show goes on, as the characters are romantically involved in the comics."

"Marvel's Jessica Jones" Netflix series sees its titular character rebuild her personal life while working as a private detective in New York after the tragic end of her short-lived superhero career.

The series is expected to premiere later this year followed by "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" with all four, including "Daredevil," teaming for "The Defenders."
