Justin Bieber was Oprah Winfrey's latest guest on her show "Next Chapter" where he opened up about Selena Gomez, who he was happily dating at the time the interview was filmed, his crush on Beyonce and what his life has been like since he became famous.
Oprah says the interview was the biggest she's done since interview Michael Jackson in 1993. The interview was broadcast live across 100 countries, which Bieber said he feels so honored. He opened up about how fame has affected him. He said it's hard sometimes because he can't go anywhere without being recognized like his favorite food which is from TGIF's.
Justin Bieber is the most watched person on YouTube with over 3 billion views. His "Baby" video has been viewed over 806 million times and was the most watched video. It has been just recently surpassed by the Korean pop music video by Psy, "Gangnam Style" which now has over 840 million views.
In the interview, Bieber shares how much he adores his then girlfriend, Selena Gomez. The two have gone through a rough patch since then, breaking up and reuniting shortly afterwards.
"I am all about really genuine people," Justin told Oprah. "Selena Gomez one of the most genuine people. She just has a good heart. I can talk to her about anything."
He also shared about how he is careful to not get any bad habits. "There's a lot of people who are waiting for me to mess up because a lot of teen stars do. They make that mistake of getting into drugs or alcohol," Justin Bieber said. Bieber also shared that his celebrity crush is Beyonce, "she's amazing to me", he said.
Oprah said to Bieber, now just 18, that she heard he wants to be married by the time he's 25 and she shared her thoughts on that.
"Rethink that, will ya?" Oprah advised. "I think 25's too young. I really do, and particularly for you. Your whole 20s is about discovering who you really are, and you owe that to yourself particularly because you are in the business that you're in, and there's not a lot of self-discovery time because so much is already defined for you."
