Last month, "Outlander" season 2 spoilers talk about the new cast members. There are French royalties, ex girlfriend, cousins, and more.
There is another major character coming though and this one will change the way people will see Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) forever.
The outlander couple are set to become parents in the Starz TV series' sophomore season and like how they became a couple, raising a kid will be extremely difficult.
Talking at the San Diego Comic-Con, Caitriona Balfe talked about what will life will be like for Claire and Jamie after surviving ordeal in the hands of Jack Black. Earlier "Outlander" season 2 spoiler revealed the couple will not only cruise to a new territory, they will also be in an unfamiliar situation, become parents.
According to the Irish actress, taking care of kids will not be easy. This and other adversities is what will test their bond and love come next season.
"I think that having to figure out as a couple how they remain connected and keep their bond strong in [the] face of all these different adversities...I think that's kind of the main theme of the second season," Balfe said.
"Obviously, they're struggling with the idea of becoming parents in a place where they're not... It's not their home; it's not where they're most comfortable," she added.
Caitriona Balfe was pressed for more "Outlander" season 2 spoiler during the Comic-Con panel's Q&A but refused. Instead, she said: "I think we would be killed if we ever divulged it."
Sam Heughan said in an "Outlander" season 2 spoiler he shared to Variety that it will be divided into two.
"There are two parts of the second book - the first half is in France and the second half is in Scotland, and I think that's what our show's gonna be. I can't wait to return to Scotland to that safety and comfort of that country, and Jamie's gonna feel the same thing. France is incredible, but the build-up to Culloden is the reason they're in France, to stop this terrible thing happening, and they know from history that it's a terrible tragedy for the Highland culture so... It's also not been filmed for a long time, so the fact that we're getting to portray this historical moment is terrific. I believe there's another film that's going to beat us to it, which I'm quite upset about."
