After Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner released a statement that they are getting a divorce, the former couple was still spotted wearing their wedding rings.
According to PEOPLE, the 43-year-old actress was seen wearing the silver band twice last weekend while the 42-year-old actor was spotted wearing his ring at Comic-Con in San Diego last Saturday.
Jennifer was seen walking around in Atlanta with her wedding band on in two separate occasions. Ben was also seen sporting the ring while visiting the museums in Atlanta with their 9-year-old daughter Violet. Could they be wearing the wedding ring for their children or do they really regret their decision of getting a divorce?
Despite their breakup, the "Daredevil" co-stars managed to remain friends and made a commitment to co-parenting their three children. According to Us Weekly, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are going to try the conscious uncoupling technique of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.
"They feel like they have to be mature adults for their children's sake and that they will figure out the healthiest way to co-parent," an insider explained. "They want the kids' lives to stay the same and to not have to change just because they aren't going to be married anymore." They seem to be living up to their word as the former couple recently spent a vacation together with their kids at the Bahamas.
Us Magazine reported that the two shared a quiet time outside the private resort. "Ben was picking strands of grass out of the ground and he had a hard time looking at Jen. He was rubbing his eyes and seemed very upset," an eyewitness revealed. "They sat there for about two minutes in complete silence. Then they said a few words but looked away again."
Maybe Ben Affleck was asking Jennifer Garner to give him another chance, but she stands firm with her decision. According to PEOPLE, the one who's really affected by the divorce is the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor. "He's devastated. Nobody intends to go down this path," their source said. "They both battled, and he really battled to try and save the marriage but ultimately it was the best thing for the kids and for him and Jen."
