Katie Cassidy is not part of the "Legends of Tomorrow" cast. Her Laurel Lance/Black Canary is a regular in "Arrow."
But of course, with the two shows being "sisters," it is hard to resist the idea that she will crossover to the upcoming superhero team series. Also, Laurel still has a score to settle with her sister Sarah (Caity Lotz) who has been resurrected by the Lazarus Pit.
"Legends of Tomorrow" cast Caity Lotz has confirmed it. There will be a showdown between the Black Canary and White Canary. In "Arrow" season 3, Laurel's face-off with her sister was just a product of her hallucination, this time it will be a real showdown.
"Definitely. I think the crossover potential is something that really excites me about the show and what I feel like sets it apart from all the other superhero shows." the "Legends of Tomorrow" cast said in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly.
"Sara and Laurel's relationship has always been a pretty complicated one. I don't imagine that these recent events are going to make it any less complicated. I'm curious to see. I don't even know. Would they be fighting against each other? Or would they be fighting on the same side? I don't think Sara would be into Laurel donning the mask and becoming Black Canary, just because she wouldn't have wanted her to have the same life that she had, that she wasn't so into all that darkness. I definitely hope that something happens, whether they fight together or against each other. It could be cool side by side. I'm into that."
There is still a world of mystery surrounding the return of Sarah Lance. How will the Lazarus Pit affect her? Why did she not return immediately to her family and friends after getting resurrected? What will she do once she meets her killer, Thea (Will Holland)?
This "Arrow" - "The Flash" spinoff series is expected to debut by 2016. Aside from Lotz, other main "Legends of Tomorrow" cast members are Wentworth Miller, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Victor Garber, Arthur Davill, Ciara Renee, and Franz Drameh.
