It seems like Legendary Pictures' "Kong: Skull Island" movie production is not looking good after losing two of its big stars.
Apparenlty, "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston is now the only confirmed actor for the "King Kong" prequel.
Deadline exclusively reported that Hiddleston's supposed co-stars Michael Keaton and JK Simmons have decided to exit the project due to conflicting schedules.
Reportedly, it's going to be impossible for both Keaton and Simmons to work on "Kong: Skull Island's" new shooting schedule, which was pushed back until the end of the year.
While their roles were yet to be discussed in public, Legendary Pictures is now reportedly on a hunt for Keaton and Simmons' replacement.
Fans are now starting to worry, making them speculate that "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston could very well follow suit and leave the project as well.
However, with Hiddleston's previous interview with Red Carpet News TV, the "Crimson Peak" star seems very enthusiastic about his role in Legendary Pictures' "Kong: Skull Island" movie.
"Well really it was [director] Jordan Vogt-Roberts has such an extraordinary vision," he said when asked what made him decide to accept the project in an interview with Red Carpet News TV.
He continued, "His story which I know he hasn't revealed to anyone yet is 'King Kong' you've never seen before, and it's very ambitious and epic and fresh and new in his vision and design and the characters are amazing. The chance to work with legendary again, who made 'Crimson Peak,' and I love what they did with 'Godzilla,' there are number of things, but it's more of working with Jordan particularly, his idea is amazing and the story and the script and the studio so yeah, it's a very easy yes."
Written by John Gatins and Max Borenstein, "Kong: Skull Island" is going to be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and is slated for March 10, 2017 release in 3D and IMAX 3D.
