Three years from now Hiccup and the rest of the gang will be coming to cinemas again for "How To Train Your Dragon 3."
While everything is being kept under wraps, there is an ongoing rumor revealing possible plot details. Movie News Guide confirmed that the dragon-themed anime franchise is going to be a "tearjerker."
The main story will reportedly focus on Toothless and less of Hiccup as he becomes an adult.
Meanwhile, Latinos Health reported that "How To Train Your Dragon 3" plot will somehow end where the original book reportedly began.
"We are gonna take the story to where the books begin, which is Hiccup as an adult reflecting back on a time where there were dragons, suggesting that the dragons will in some way go away. Why and could they come back and the mystery of what all that is will be saved for the actual story," writer-director Dean DeBlois said.
The plot is compared to that of "Toy Story 3," where it mainly focused on Andy's becoming an adult. Alternatively, he claimed that the third installment to the franchise could also feature the story of Drago Bludvist, which was never been told in the prequels.
Meanwhile, there Screen Rant reported that "How to Train Your Dragon 3" was actually first scheduled on an earlier release date, but DreamWorks was reportedly forced to push back its launch in a later date because of Pixar and Disney's "Finding Dory."
Apparenlty, it was set to hit theaters on June 17, 2016 but was moved to June 29, 2018 release date.
Instead it is now expected to go toe-to-toe with Warner Bros. "The Lego Movie 3."
