From "Love Me Harder" to "lick me harder?" Ariana Grande's donut stunt reportedly made the business of the shop grow because of her licking scandal. A report by The Wrap said sales have since "tripled" since she did the unexpected.

The pop singer was caught on video licking the donuts on the tray at California donut shop which are about to be served to other customers. She was with her rumored boyfriend, one of her back-up dancers, and was seen kissing each other as well as Ariana Grande saying she hates America.

In a recent report by The Wrap, Ariana's donut licking scandal attracted many customers and "tripled" the business in the shop according to owner Joe Marin.

Wolfee Donuts, however reportedly had its health and safety grade go down after Ariana Grande's donut scandal. The owner also said in the report that he was "furious" and "pissed off" at the singer's behaviour, and that he is angry with her licking and her hate comments.

"She forgot that America buys your tickets, that's why you're famous," the owner who is a Mexican immigrant said in the report.

The Ariana 'donut scandal' as an example?

Ariana Grande's donut scandal reportedly prompted the police to investigate about what she did, and health officials to turn down the safety grade of the shop.

But activist Susan Sarandon shared on Twitter that she also licked a donut "in solidarity with Ariana Grande," who she called as a "sweet, talented, true American." Whether the activist said this in sarcasm or not, it is up for the readers to interpret.

Ariana Grande is an advocate for healthy eating and defended herself by saying that this controversy was done because she wanted to express "how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences."

"The fact that the United States has one of the highest child obesity rates in the world frustrates me," she said in a report by News.com.au. "We need to do more to educate ourselves and our children about the dangers of overeating and the poison that we put into our bodies."
