In line with previous speculations that "Star Wars Battlefront 3" release date is going to coincide with Disney's "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," EA Dice has finally announced that the highly anticipated game is coming a month prior to the movie.
At E3 2015, the giant gaming company has presented "Star Wars Battlefront 3" in their panel and according to them, the game is slated for Nov. 17, 2015 release date.
In addition to the release date announcement, EA Dice has also presented an in-depth, new and improved multiplayer gameplay.
However, while most were impressed with the footage, Hayden Dingman of PC World feels otherwise.
It's not the Battlefront III I waited and waited (and waited) for though," he said of the "Star Wars Battlefront 3" gameplay.
"It's just not. I don't think it's worth making excuses, or trying to pretend otherwise. Rather, I think it's time to accept that thisBattlefront is going to be a wholly different beast from theBattlefront I know and love, and then grow to love it (or at least tolerate it)-like when your favorite band puts out an album and you listen to it a dozen, two-dozen times just hoping there's some connection.
Despite the claims, EA Dice Label boss Patrick Söderlund is convinced that "Star Wars Battlefront 3" is actually the best game in the franchise, Eurogamer reported.
"This is DICE's interpretation of what Battlefront should be...That's the best description you can have," he explained.
"There are absolutely things in the previous Battlefront games that you'll recognize and remember, but DICE wants to put its own flavor on it. That's the only way we can do it. Hence it's called 'Star Wars: Battlefront,' without a 3 at the end. We want to say it's something new...But again, it's going to be very Star Wars and very cool."
EA DICE game designer Niklas Fergraeus even said that "Star Wars Battlefront 3" multiplayer actually offers a wide range of options for players to choose from.
"We have actually made the decision to specifically tailor certain maps to certain game modes, and what we get from that is not only incredibly varied scales, but also gameplay that will allow players to live out some of their most memorable 'Star Wars' battle fantasies," he said in an interview with IGN.
"However, with the talent we have here at DICE, the Frostbite technology at our fingertips, and the fantastic working relationship we have with Lucas, I believe we will deliver a Star Wars experience that excites fans around the world and gives them the chance to play out battles in some of the most iconic locales in the series history."
