'Homeland' Season 5 Trailer Teases Explosions And Misunderstanding Between Carrie And Saul; Plus More Spoiler

| By

Earlier “Homeland” season 5 spoiler revealed the show will move out of Middle East, the setting of its fourth season.

Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) will now be in Germany to work for a private security in Berlin. Even though the lead character and the storyline is away from Pakistan, which last season saw many explosions and gun fires, don't expect that the fifth season will be quiet. In fact, it will be as intense.

Newest “Homeland” season 5 spoiler/teaser, which spans for 30 seconds, has been released and among the notable things about it are the explosions and fall out between Carrie and her longtime mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin).

Also in the video are multiple times Carrie was grabbed by someone to save him from nearby danger. Watch the “Homeland” season 5 teaser below.

According to earlier “Homeland” season 5 spoiler, the show will have a time jump coming from the events that happened in the fourth season finale. Deadline wrote:

"Season five will pick-up two years after Carrie Mathison's (Claire Danes) ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the "war on terror," Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm."

The show doing another reset is something that do not sit well with some fans. After Brody was killed in season three, the Showtime TV series looked completely from where it started.

Speaking during the Television Critics Association's semi-annual press tour last month, network's president David Nevins explained "Homeland" will still be about USA's foreign policy, their theme ever since the first season.

"The real franchise of the show is how difficult it is to be America in the world in the 21st century, how difficult the choices are. I think that's a story that will remain relevant for as long as they can come up with new stories. It could be Africa, it could be Europe, it could be back in another place in the Middle East. I don't expect that show to fall into a formula. I can see it coming back to the U.S. at some point."

“Homeland” season 5 release date is yet to be revealed but it is expected to debut this fall.
