Her single "Love Me Like You Do" became an instant success after becoming an original soundtrack to the BDSM movie "Fifty Shades of Grey."
And while Ellie Goulding has yet to announce the official release date of her followup album, she revealed that it's definitely in the works already and that everything is in the right track.
Capital FM reported that 28-year-old English singer talked about her new album saying that her 2015 goal is to focus solely on finishing her new record.
"The album's going well," Goulding said. "I'm just trying to take my time a bit more, this year my focus is solely about getting my record finished."
With that being said, fans started to speculate that if Goulding is indeed going to finish her tracks for the new album this year, it will most likely hit shelves next year, which she confirmed.
"The only big thing coming up for me now is my third album, which won't be out until next year. Everything is going into that," Goulding said.
In that same interview, Ellie Goulding said that up until now she's still in awe of the the phenomenal success her "Love Me Like You Do" single achieved.
"This song has just gone absolutely bonkers," she said. "It's just surreal, I can't even fathom it right now. I feel like the luckiest person in the world."
"When I'm like 'this song means everything to me, it has to do well,' and it doesn't do as well as I think then it's so sad. But when I'm like 'Well, I hope it does good but I'm not going to go crazy about it when it doesn't,' and it does, I'm like, how does the psychology work on this?"
