While she has yet to reveal major details about her upcoming new album, Adele is reportedly actively working on it.
And prior to the release of her follow up album, the multi-Grammy Award winning artist is reportedly set to make another single for the James Bond movie, "Spectre."
Latin Post which quoted Daily Star claimed that Adele has been short listed to work on the movie's OST together with Sam Smith, Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Faith.
"Adele was just one of a few artists asked to write and record the title track for 'Spectre,'" a source reportedly revealed. "Sam Smith was the favorite to be picked among insiders, but Adele has got the nod."
"It is huge pressure for her after the unbelievable success of 'Skyfall.' It is a massive scoop for the film, too, as the world awaits her third hugely delayed album."
And while news of her new album has been making the rounds lately Digital Spy noted that Adele has decided to delay the release date and instead work on personal matters first.
Adele's music producer Emile Haynie explained that while the new album is definitely in the works, Adele is not rushing things.
"Adele was awesome, but I don't know if we'll be working together," Haynie said. "We got along well as friends when we met in February and I hope we can cut some songs, but Adele is taking her time."
"I'd push for it to happen, but we'll have to wait and see."
The Daily Star on the other hand, said that Adele could pull off a Beyonce like release, where she would most likely surprise her fans once the new album is done.
"The plan is to release internationally on iTunes as a complete surprise without any previous promotion or build-up publicity campaign," the source reportedly said. "The shock tactics worked amazingly well for Beyoncé and the feeling is Adele's new album is so widely anticipated it doesn't need a long promotional build-up."
