Unfortunately 2K Games did not announce "Mafia 3" release date during E3 2015 last month, as expected.
However, there is an ongoing speculation claiming that the giant gaming company is just saving the announcement for the third-person shooter game's 13th anniversary this coming August 28.
"Every fan and gamer were expecting either game developer 2K Czech or game publisher 2K Games to make an announcement about 'Mafia 3' in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 held last month," Master Herald reported. "But since nothing came out at all, the next best date is during the exact 13th year when the first game of the series came out, cites Mafia Game Info."
Apparently 2K Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. has already registered four domains under the name of "Mafia 3," thus speculations that the game's release date announcement is near sparked, PC Gamer noted.
NeoGAF added that on June 15, Take-Two registered four domains that include, mafia3thegame.com, mafiaiiithegame.com, mafiathree.com, and mafiathreethegame.com.
While the company has yet to comment on the said reports, Master Herald noted that the timing of the domain registration is most certainly accurate with the news claiming that "Mafia 3" release date will most certainly be announced on its anniversary on August.
In other "Mafia 3" news, there have also been reports that there will be three new characters to be introduced in the game.
Master Herald claimed that the three characters are going to be based on real-life Mafia personalities namely, Tony, Mickey and Franklin.
Below is the said description of the new characters once the game arrives in PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Franklin is reportedly an African American who was born in Louissiana. He is in his early 20s, about six feet tall and has a muscular build. He is depicted as an outsider to both white and black society but is fiercely loyal to those whom he considers as his family. He is also street-smart, strong, disciplined and knows how to get a job done.
Tony, who is also born in Louissiana, is of Italian descent. He is in his early 30s, thin, well-groomed and wears his dress very neatly. He is also calm, but he is said to be capable of resorting to violence if anyone gets his ire.
Mickey is also born in Louissiana. He is said to be in his late teens or early 20s with an average build. He is described to be a talker, someone who likes to talk big but cannot back it up with real actions. He also has a bad habit of taking credit for bigger jobs even though he was not part of it or hardly was part of it.
Master Herald's claims is streghten by a report coming from IGN, which is confident that "Mafia 3" could take plae in Louisiana, where it would introduce the three characters namely, Franklin, Tony and Mickey.
"The trio of Louisiana natives are Franklin, Tony and Mickey," the publication claimed. "Franklin is in his early 20s, and 'knows how to get a job done at any cost.' Tony is in his early 30s, and is apparently 'a genius with numbers and statistics who runs sports betting operations.' Finally, Mickey is in his late teens, who 'likes to run his mouth' and acts as a street hustler. Sadly, he can't back his big talk up with much."
