Xbox One console owners are set to receive a patch for this month's system update which is focused on the New Xbox One Experience.
"This update prepares for game streaming to Windows 10 (launching July 29th) and our upcoming Backward Compatibility feature launching in a few months," Major Nelson wrote.
"There are no new user-facing features in this release as the team focuses on the New Xbox One Experience that will be available later this year."
The new update will not bring "user-facing feature", Major Nelson confirmed on this blog. Thus, prepares the Xbox One for the upcoming Windows 10 launch on July 29 that will bring game streaming to the console and will allow Xbox One games viewed on Windows 10 tablets or phones.
It will also support backward compatibility to Xbox 360 games. Whereas, Xbox One Preview program members have already access to this feature which currently has 20 games. (via Polygon)
Also, Microsoft recently explained the integration of Windows 10 and Xbox One in terms of users gaming experience.
"Communicate with your friends on Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One - while playing any PC game. You can capture, edit and share your greatest gaming moments with Game DVR, and play new games with friends across devices. You can play games on your PC, streamed directly from your Xbox One console to your Windows 10 tablets or PCs, within your home. Meanwhile, Xbox Live with Gold members can play the first MOBA for Xbox One for free as it enters open beta today.
Though the game is being offered for free, players may still purchase the "Founder's Pack" for $30 to unlock every god character, future gods, 400 gems, and "an exclusive Ares skin, and the Ymir "Cacodemon X" skin." But players must note that this pack will be discontinued after Hi Rez releases the game in full version. (via
