NBC has been releasing teaser posters for the "Heroes Reborn" cast over the past couple of weeks, effectively keeping fans on edge for the reboot's premiere on Sept. 24.
New lead star Zachary Levi, isn't just one of the cast members being teased by the show, he's also one of the fans excited for the premiere this fall.
As soon as his casting for the series was announced, the "Chuck" star revealed his love for Tim Kring's original series that aired on NBC from 2006 to 2010.
In fact, he met a lot of the "Heroes" cast members and became friends with them thanks to several promotions that they went on together. "Chuck" and "Heroes" were in the same Monday block back then.
"I was always looking from the outside in going, 'Man, wouldn't that be so cool to be on that show,'" he told Entertainment Weekly about his past fondness for the series. "I mean, 'Chuck' was great obviously, but flying around and shooting lightning bolts out of your hands - all that stuff is so cool, especially as a comic-book kid."
It wasn't a surprise then that he didn't waste any time in joining the "Heroes Reborn" cast when auditions for the remake were announced. He eventually landed the part of Luke Collins, the "wild card" in the entire series.
However, would his past famous character watch his upcoming mini-series? Levi said he definitely would.
"Heroes is absolutely something that Chuck would watch 100 percent," he gushed, adding that a lot of "Chuck" fans were "Heroes" fans as well.
"I love being able to do things that feed into that same world," he continued. "I just like making stuff that people dig. I really believe that entertainment is for the audience."
Zachary Levi won't be the only one getting superpowers in the series. The bunch of teasers that NBC released for the "Heroes Reborn" cast show several new characters with interesting powers.

Fans will also get to meet and ask the "Heroes Reborn" cast members during the San Diego Comic Con this July 11.
