When reports of Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid's split surfaced in May, fans still harbored hope that the cute couple would get back together in the future.
But then, the supermodel started spending a lot of time with Joe Jonas, who was also linked to her during her first break with Simpson.
Despite telling E! News that he's enjoying his "rad" life, it seems that the Australian singer isn't as over his ex-girlfriend as he wants everyone to believe.
"Being by myself has just freed up space for me to actually be by myself as opposite to half of somebody else," he previously told the news outlet.
Although the former couple maintained their close friendship, Simpson didn't seem to be too keen on Hadid's new man. When asked by TMZ about a possible collaboration between Jonas and himself in the future, the "Happy Lil' Hippie" singer had very strong feelings against the suggestion.
"Why would you say that to me? No way. No way," he told the TMZ crew when they caught with him while hanging out with his friends.

While 19-year-old model quickly found comfort in the arms of the second Jonas brother, Simpson was linked to Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
He cleared up those particular dating rumors on TMZ as well, telling the outlet, "no f**k boys." According to Hollywood Life, the term was slang for "he'd never hook up with her ever!"
On the other hand, Hadid seems to be getting closer to Jonas, even joining Taylor Swift and her new beau Calvin Harris on outings in the UK. Are they getting serious already?
