It was earlier reported that the upcoming "Transformers 5" could possible feature the reunion of director Michael Bay and original female lead star Megan Fox.
Now Food World News has reported the possibility of original male lead star Shia LaBeouf to return to the franchise as well.
"Shia LaBeouf has been busy as he departed from the Transformers franchise, he recently hangs out with Lars von Trier, the Danish film director and screenwriter," the publication claimed. "Adding ShiaLaBeouf to Transformers 5 could be a good move by Paramount even if it means that they have to kidnap, drug him, then have him wake up on set.
"As LaBeouf has matured into a manhood, bringing him back would simply make the film far more interesting."
And while LaBeouf has not closed his doors in returning for "Transformers 5," he already previously said that it's probably going to be difficult for him to reprise his role.
"It would be good to do another film but I doubt with the new changes since the third film that Megan could return you know, it might be a love war if me or Rosie both return you know its not that i don't think about it," he explained. "But no, I highly doubt I'll be back for another one. I'll do another Michael Bay film but not Transformers."
One this is for sure though, Mark Wahlberg is returning for "Transformers 5" and he's just waiting for director Michael Bay to comeback from his directorial duties.
"We'll get together when he [Michael Bay] gets back," Wahlberg said in a report by Collider.
Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed in his recent interview with Screen Rant that Bay is indeed coming back to direct "Transformers 5."
"I think it's one of those classic things where somebody reported that and suddenly it became our plan," he said of Bay allegedly handing over the directorial responsibilities to someone else.
"We have never discussed the idea of how to hand it off, honestly. It's not like we don't think, well what happens if Michael doesn't do it, of course you do. But we want to keep Michael on this, so we're not spending any time worrying about who could come in. We're trying to figure out how to keep him going and keep him excited."
