Former "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev has reportedly been depressed following her "untimely" exit from the long-running Vampire-themed series.
Contrary to the reports, the 26-year-old Bulgarian-Canadian actress seemed to be having the time of her life.
Apparently, she did not just move on from the show she has also moved on from her breakup with co-star and ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder.
Nina Dobrev reportedly has a new boyfriend. "Whiplash" actor Austin Stowell is apparently the new man in Nina's life.
After "having a good time and enjoying life!" while on her Instagram-documented road trip, Dobrev was seen with rumored new boyfriend Stowell.
According to Inquisitr, the new couple seemed to have been taking things seriously despite being only together for a few weeks.
US Magazine added that the two are inseperable as they were spotted on a dinner and movie date.
"He called Nina 'babe' and gently put an arm around her waist," the source confirmed.
After ending her relationship with ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, Nina reportedly stopped seeing other guys until she met Austin Stowell through a common friend, Selena Gomez who encouraged them to date.
"Selena and Austin became close friends while filming 'In Dubious Battle' in Atlanta. It was Selena who went on and on about how wonderful and beautiful and talented Nina is," a source of Hollywood Life revealed.
"Austin and Nina are both signed to the same agency CAA and had crossed paths before, but it wasn't until spending time in Atlanta that they really got to know each other. This was back in January, so the two of them have been seeing each other since then."
After that the two reportedly came to Jamie King's baby shower earlier this month, where wintesses recalled that the former "Vampire Diaries" star excited to introduce Stowell as her new boyfriend.
"Nina introduced Austin as her boyfriend to people who didn't know him. Most of the people there knew each other. They were glued to each other. Either holding hands the entire time to they had their arms around each other. They both seemed really happy, especially Nina."
Apparently, Nina Dobrev's ex-boyfriend and "Vampire Diaries" co-sta Ian Somerhalder is happy for her new found love.
"Ian actually knew about Nina's new relationship, but he never really brought it up while on set," sources allegedly close to the former couple dished out.
"He respected that she didn't want to hear about Nikki and she respected that he didn't' want to hear about Austin. One less thing to worry about: Ian is all about Nikki, his causes, the show and a handful of metaphysical stuff that goes through his mind. He just wants Nina to be happy, and if she is happy with Austin that is good enough for him."
