[Watch] This New ‘The Lion King’ Unofficial Modern Trailer! Editor Hopes To Edit Real Movie Teasers In The Future!

| By

With today's technology, it's quite easy for normal people to share their skills online and be recognized for it. One aspiring video editor decided to create a "The Lion King" modern trailer and it's giving fans of the iconic animated Disney film "some serious feels".

"[I'm] just an unemployed video editor here praying someday I'll be video editing trailers," Ryan Shukis posted as a caption for the enhanced trailer he posted on Youtube.

The original video, which was released in 1994 featured a voice over that teased Simba's journey into becoming the king that he should be, interlaced with songs from award-winning composers Elton John and Tim Rice.

However, "unemployed video editor" Ryan Shukis took the classic favorite and breathed new life into the decade-old clip.

According to Cosmopolitan, Shukis turned the cartoon feature film teaser into a "sleek and modern trailer" that promised a "very emotional action adventure film".

In the same way, Shukis' "The Lion King" modern trailer gave MoviePilot "some serious feels". Like the 1994 version, this new teaser conveyed everything that should be shared about Simba's journey. However, the new (unofficial version) seemed to lack the humor that the original was chockfull of.

"The Lion King" followed the adventure of Simba into finding his strength as a king.

He lost his father, King Mufasa, to the evil schemes of his evil uncle, Scar. Presumed dead, he grows up living a somewhat carefree life away from his own pride. But as the true king, he had to go back and become the leader that he was supposed to be.

The film is one of the most favorite animated Disney film of all time. Whether it would merit a live action recreation is still undetermined. On the other hand, Disney already recreated "Sleeping Beauty" ("Maleficent") and "Cinderella". The studio is also reportedly currently working on "Beauty And The Beast", "The Jungle Book" and "Dumbo".
