'Real Housewives Of Orange County' Star Vicki Gunvalson To Quit Show After Learning The Devastating News Of Her Mother's Death?

| By

Last Tuesday night's episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" may have been one of the most hear-piercing episodes ever from the reality show.

Fans saw Vicki Gunvalson learn the devastating news of her mother's (Joanne Steinmetz) death through a phone call.

"What do you mean? What happened? No!" Gunvalson shockingly asked in a phone call while she was at Shannon Beador's bunco party. "Briana, I can't do this," she said to her daughter before collapsing on the kitchen floor. "Oh, my God. I don't want to believe this."

Continued Gunvalson, "How could she die? She wasn't sick at all .... Damn it."

Beador came rushing asking Vicki, "What's going on?"

"My mom just died," she yelled as Beador held her. "How could she die?"

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry," said Beador.

"I just talked to her this morning," Gunvalson who was so stunned with the news told all the wives present at the party.

"There's nothing you can do to make her feel better," Tamra Judge interrupted.

"I just want my mom back. I want my mom," cried Gunvalson. "I have to go see my mom right now. I want to be with my mom."

She continued in tears, "I need her every day. I need her so bad. Who's going to worry about me? I don't have parents now. I need my parents. I need my mom."

Vicki Gunvalson was finally able to reach her brother, Billy, through a phone call.
"Billy, wake her, wake up," she wept over the phone. "What happened?"

"I ran upstairs and tried to shake her to wake up, but she didn't wake up," her brother said. "I've lost my best friend."

"I wasn't ready to stop learning from my mom," said Gunvalson. "I really don't know how I'm going to function. I need her in my life. I don't know why we have to die. I'll miss my mom's spunk. She had so much love for life. I don't want this to be real."

Talking to Associated Press, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star admitted that she has actually considered leaving the show.

In addition to the devastating news of her mother's death, the show also showed dramas between her co-stars and her split with ex-husband, Don.

"This season my mom dies. Last season, I had situations with Tamra (Judge) and then I look at another season where I decided to divorce (ex-husband) Don," she said.

And while she hasn't confirmed her exit, Gunvalson admitted that she wanted to quit.

"Yes. In the past three years I've thought about it. It's been hard to manage my personal life and then my insurance career. ... I weigh it out every year and there's always been more good than bad. When there is a day there's more bad than good, then I'm done. ... I don't live, breathe and die a TV show."
