Jennifer Lacy Tweets Thanks To Fans For Support After Girlfriend Assaulted Her

Jennifer Lacy came under attack by her girlfriend, former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw, after she shot into Lacy's car and has since been arrested.

Holdsclaw was arrested Thursday night around 9 p.m. after surrendering to police, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. She was charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and reckless conduct.

According to Channel 2 Action News, a local Atlanta television station, Lacy told police she was working out when Holdsclaw approached her and said she wanted to put some items in Lacy's Range Rover.

"I want to thank my family, friends, fans and Shock family for their concern during this difficult time," she tweeted. "I have never felt more love from my fans in supporting me."

Holdsclaw then began following Lacy in her car as Lacy drove to meet a friend, according to Yahoo! Sports. Holdsclaw allegedly exited her vehicle, smashed in the windows of Lacy's Land Rover with a baseball bat, fired a gun inside the vehicle and fled the scene.

Holdsclaw being held on $10,000 bail. Police recovered a 9 mm shell casing at the scene, according to TMZ. Lacy was uninjured but said she felt scared when Holdsclaw was following her, according to the police report obtained by TMZ.

Holdsclaw is scheduled to appear before a judge Friday morning and it's not known if she has retained an attorney, according to the spokeswoman.

She now faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage to property and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
