Just when British sensation Sam Smith recovered from his own vocal chord surgery, Meghan Trainor announced that she also had to cancel several tour dates because of the same problem.
According to Time magazine, the "All About That Bass" hitmaker was supposed to perform for her fans in New Jersey and Connecticut over the July 4th weekend. Unfortunately, she was advised by her doctor to completely rest her throat to avoid aggravating the hemmorhage in her vocal chord.
Thankfully, no reports of a surgery were announced.
Just like Sam Smith, however, the Grammy-nominated singer had to resort to written words to apologize to her fans who already bought tickets to the cancelled dates. Hopefuly, Meghan Trainor's cancelled tour dates on Thursday and Friday will be scheduled for another time.
"I have never missed a tour date before so this is killing me. I love you all very much and want to get healed quickly so I can show you this amazing tour we've been working on," she wrote on the Instagram video.
"I'm in New York now seeing another doctor. So frustrated but cant make any noise. At least I got my brother @ryan.trainor to make me smile. And my fans supporting me, thank you for your kind words," she captioned her apology video, adding "#loveyoumegatronz".
Meghan Trainor's cancelled tour dates really bothered her, as she added several random phrases on the caption about her frustration.
"'We are going to see another doctor in New York'," she shared. "I want to cry but I can't cuz it will hurt more', 'I hate everything right now', 'Ryan you have a booger in your nose' 'I'm sorry Megatronz I will make it up to you I promise'".
Although her recovery time is still unclear, the tour schedule in her official website does say her next concert will be on Tuesday in Michigan.
