While there hasn't been any official yet, it seems like Spider-Man is indeed making his debut to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War."
Or at least that's what people are expecting following "Captain America 3" star Chris Evans' post on Twitter.
HUGE congrats to @TomHolland1996!!! Well deserved. We're lucky to have you.

While he did not specifically said that Tom Holland, who's portraying role of the new Peter Parker aka Spider-Man following the deal made by Sony and Marvel, will appear in "Captain America: Civil War," his statement could have just fueled the already rampant rumors about Holland's debut.
Furthermore, Screen Rant confirmed the rumors involving Spider-Man and his appearance in the movie.
Apparently, "Captain America 3," led by Chris Evans, will serve as Marvel's way of introducing Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"So, as a surprise to no one who's been following these developments, Tom Holland's Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man will in fact appear inCaptain America: Civil War," Screen Rant claimed.
The publication added that Holland was already rushed to film some of the scenes for "Civil War." While he's most probably not going to film the stunts in Spider-Man costume, he's most certainly going to appear as Peter Parker.
"We had heard descriptions of a Spider-Man costume and multiple reports of the shortlist of potential actors actually screen-testing as Parker on the Atlanta set of Civil War, and as confirmed yesterday in THR's cover story on Marvel's Ant-Man, Holland must 'immediately' report to set. So far, any shots involving Spider-Man must have been made with a double or stunt actor wearing the costume. Holland is really just needed for the Peter Parker sequences."
Marvel CEO Kevin Feige previously teased fans of the newest friendly neighborhood Spidey in an earlier interview.
"There is a young kid [already] running around New York City in a homemade version of the Spider-Man costume in the MCU, you just don't know it yet."
Meanwhile ComicBookMovie claimed that while Spider-Man's role in "Captain America 3" has yet to be revealed, it's most likely that he'll be doing scenes with both Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr.
Whether he'll be siding with Chris Evans' Captain America or Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man remains to be seen.
"...if the "Sony Hack" is to be believed, it will be Tony Stark who presents the young Spidey with his Iron Spider costume," the website said.
IB Times on the other hand, noted that Spidey could just be having a "cameo appearance in the film," claiming that Marvel is just probably going to use "Captain America: Civil War" as a marketing deploy to Spider-Man's standalone movie.
"Captain America: Civil War" will be released on May 6, 2016.
