So far, we've only seen glimpses of Samsung's upcoming round smartwatch rumored to be launched in September this year. A report suggests Samsung Gear A smartwatch specs could be divided into two tiers - a standard model and one with all the bells and whistles.
Apart from confirming that Samsung's upcoming round smartwatch will indeed be called the Gear A, SamMobile said two variants will be launched.
"The Gear A will come in two variants - a standard one with Bluetooth connectivity, and one with 3G and calling support."
Both variants of the smartwatch, known internally as Orbis, "should support Wi-Fi," the website added.
It won't be the first one to do this though as the Gear S supported both Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. And just like the Gear S, SamMobile expects the 3G-enabled Gear A variant to be pricier than the standard one.
Also included in Samsung Gear A smartwatch specs is possibly the Seoul-based tech giant's own Exynos processor and NFC technology possibly in support of Samsung Pay.
Apart from adopting a round shape, we don't know what the Gear A smartwatch will look like. But renders created by Korean blogger XSplash could provide us a clue.
The first set of renders came out in May, which you can see here courtesy of Tizen Experts, is what the Gear A smartwatch could look like with its rotating bezel.
"Like we have seen previously with the Samsung Gear S, we could have some exciting watch band colors and similar material being used as in the Cobalt Blue version."
In June, XSpash came up with another set of renders titled "Metal Gold Edition" which could be close the real thing. Check it out courtesy of Twitter user Proper Reserve:
"These renders maybe quite close to what the final product will look like," Tizen Experts wrote.
Expect Samsung Gear A smartwatch specs to be finalized as its release date nears. Together with the Galaxy Note 5, the device is expected to be launched at IFA 2015 in September.
