Even with producers confirming Juliette's death, fans are still hoping for Bitsie Tulloch to still come back as Nick's girlfriend in "Grimm" season 5. And it seems like the actress herself is supporting that sentiment.
Tulloch uploaded the "Grimm" poster on her Twitter, with David Guintolli's (who plays Nick Burkhardt) "handsome mug". She also posted a Throwback Thursday photo "to that time I died", along with the screenshot of her arrow-pelted self in Nick's arms from the season four finale.
Despite going on a downward spiral in the last couple of episodes last season, followers of the show still hoped for her to redeem herself this Fall, or at least turn into Nick's new enemy.
According to executive producer David Greenwalt, however, Juliette's death had to happen.
"As she, you know, turned into a Hexenbiest and went kind of wild and then started enjoying her powers and then felt so betrayed by Nick having Adalind's baby even though it wasn't Nick's fault..." he previously told The Hollywood Reporter, "it was just the natural way she grew and developed in the course of the season and it seemed like that was something inevitable that had to happen."
Co-producer Jim Kouf also confirmed her death.
"Juliette is dead. Sure looks like it," he told TV Line, but his next statement gave fans hope that Nick's Hexenbiest girlfriend might just until "Grimm" season 5.
"I think it keeps everyone on edge. You don't know what's going to happen," he continued to tease. "Anything could happen. It seems like a few shows, episode whatever, they get married or they finally get together. We decided to go a different way."
Meanwhile, Nick will reportedly be seeking revenge in a "darker" "Grimm" season 5.
Perhaps the cast and producers will get to address Juliette's uncertain fate and Nick's vengeance during the San Diego Comic Con later this month.
David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner and Claire Coffee will be answering questions about the show on July 11.
"Grimm" season 5 will air on Oct. 30.
