After successfully battling the lengthy lawsuit against its label company, Tool is finally ready to release a new album.
However, while the the American rock band confirmed that they are indeed working on a new record, they have yet to announce when will it finally hit the shelves.
Now comes the teasing and giving out hints.
Apparently, Tool has teased fans of their highly anticipated album when they posted these words on their official webpage, "Wait For It..."
Most speculated that their announcement is going to be about the release of their new album however, Tool announced of their participation on the upcoming Monster Mash Music Festival happening in October.
The band is scheduled to play alongside Coheed and Cambria and Primus in Arizona on Halloween.
And while most are disappointed, some speculated that this could just be another way of Tool in teasing their fans, perhaps the announcement will come during their performance in the said event. That remains to be seen though.
In other news, frontman Maynard James Keenan has reportedly undergone a hip replacement surgery, which made many of their fans worry.
And while he is still in recovery, Keenan assured fans that the album is still in progress,Loud Wire reported.
"Didn't want to freak anyone out," Maynard said on a post at Puscifer official web page. "Wanted to wait until out of the woods. Years of foot stomping left me with no cushion in my right hip. Full replacement yesterday. Walking today."
He assured fans that he's very much involved with the upcoming album despite his health condition.
And according to a previous interview with Yahoo Music, guitarist Adam Jones assured fans that now that the "lawsuit out of the way," they should expect "great things" from Tool.
"Our greatest strength is jamming and coming up with stuff," Jones revealed.
"We're doing that really well now and I'm excited about everything we're working on. Some of it's really heavy, some of it's complex and some is more atmospheric, but it's definitely Tool. I think having this lawsuit out of the way should really speed of the progress of getting the album done."
