Iris West (Candice Patton) is more likely the one who will have a hard time moving on after what transpired in the first season finale of "The Flash."
The Central City reporter lost her fiancee Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) in order to make Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) vanish. This could weaken Iris but when "The Flash" season 2 release date comes, what fans will see is an Iris feeling more determined.
"The Flash" season 2 release date is set on October 6 and it will pick up shortly from where it left off in the season one finale. There is not much details where the main characters will be after a wormhole occurred in the city where Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) raced to. As for Iris West, she will continue following her dreams as a reporter.
Last season, she already set her foot in Picture News and when "The Flash" season 2 release hits, fans will see her more on that establishment.
"She's found her way into S.T.A.R. Labs and she's trying to get her career off the ground at Picture News," Candice Patton said according to "The Flash" season 2 spoiler from TV Line.
"So I, personally, am really hoping to see Iris have more agency and more abilities to help the team and The Flash and the city that she loves so much. I want to see her stand on her own two feet and really contribute to the group."
Patton also teased season 2 pilot will see "where Barry is and what that means for S.T.A.R. Labs and Iris and Joe and Eddie. It'll pick up right where we left off."
As for her father Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), one woman will spice things up for the boss and accomplice of the fastest man alive. On the same article TV Line released, it said Joe West is set to have some 'nookie-nookie' with an old friend.
"My gut is telling me Joe is going to partake in some nookie-nookie with a woman named Olivia. In potentially related news, producers are looking for an African-American actress in her early-40s to play a troubled old friend of Joe's. The recurring character's name is Olivia."
