The first season FX TV series "The Strain" saw a number of characters that instantly endeared to fans because of their bad-ass personality.
There is David Bradley's Professor Abraham Setrakian who despite the age still manages to kill vampire with his special sword. Then there is Kevin Durand's Vasiliy Fet who came in the middle of the first season and became one of the favorites for his no non-sense way of dealing with the beasts. For "The Strain" season two, there will be a new character that fans will most likely love.
According to a new "The Strain" season 2 spoiler from TV Line, the FX TV series based on a book series of the same name by Guillermo del Toro will welcome a new character, a woman in particular.
The entertainment website wrote when a fan asked for a "The Strain" season 2 spoiler:
"Show boss Carlton Cuse shared with TVLine that among Eph's allies this season is "a very cool new character played by Samantha Mathis" (whom I, Matt, will always associate with Broken Arrow). "She's a city councilwoman in Staten Island who decides, 'I'm going to do something about this vampire plague myself.' She's amazing." Cuse also let slip this tease about the show's Biggest Bad: "The Master might have escaped [in the Season 1 finale], but that doesn't mean he was uninjured. Let's just say that."
"The Stain" season 2 synopsis indicates that main characters Dr. Eph Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and Dr. Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) will now start formulating a weapon that would help them eliminate the strain and the creatures it created.
"Eph and Nora work on a biological weapon to kill the strigoi, and Setrakian risks the lives of the entire group to find information about a closely guarded secret text. The Master begins the next phase of his own plan, by creating a terrifying new breed of creature and placing them under the control of Kelly."
"The Strain" season 2 release date is July 12, 2015.
