"Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston will be quite busy during the latter part of this year. Not only will he join Guillermo Del Toro and co-stars Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam for the new horror film, he will also be promoting for "I Saw The Light" around Thanksgiving.
According to Variety, the Hank Williams biopic will be premiering in cinemas on Nov. 27, just a couple of weeks after notable director Del Toro unveils his new gothic horror movie.
The Internet darling will be bringing the legendary country star Hank Williams to life in the new film. Despite early protests from fans of the country singer against casting the British actor for the role, Hiddleston quickly won over country music enthusiasts with his hard work into becoming the iconic crooner.
Another country star, Rodney Crowell, even praised the "Thor" star for his dedication to the role.
"After nearly a month spent collaborating with this gifted artist, I'm as respectful of the man's work ethic as I'm mystified by his transformational skills," the country crooner shared on his Facebook about the "Avengers" star. "Without a doubt, the filmmakers chose the right actor for the job."
Will this new role finally give "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston an Oscar nomination in 2016?
Cinema Blend believes that "I Saw The Light" could be the Hollywood heartthrob's big break to enter the Academy. Previous musically-oriented films, "Ray" and "Walk The Line", already garnered success in the prestigious awards show. The Hank Williams biopic could very well be the next one to reap Oscar trophies.
"Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston's transformation from the darkly playful Loki into the country music icon could very well awe its audience. Fans will also be amazed by his American accent as well as his singing voice in the movie.
