Remaining 'Hannibal' Season 3 Episodes To Feature 'Most Bunkers' Stuff; Bryan Fuller Not Surprised Of Cancellation

| By

"Hannibal" has done some of the grossest things on TV. A cello made out of human's esophagus, people given wings using their own back skins, a human inside a horse's body, and more.

All these scenes got the audiences on the edge of their seats. For fans who are still tuned in, watch out because those gory sequences can get even gorier. The remaining "Hannibal" season 3 episode will blow the minds of its audiences.

Collider quoted series developer Bryan Fuller as saying that some of the last nine "Hannibal" season 3 episodes will feature the wildest scenes for a television show. The entertainment website wrote:

"Fuller also gives a ton of great information on the rest of Hannibal Season 3, saying that this next run of episodes features some of the "most bonkers" stuff the show has ever attempted. He also talks about how great it has been working with Richard Armitage, who will play Francis Dolarhyde, a.k.a. The Red Dragon. And, Fuller teases fans about his favorite death on the series (it's coming up! And "it's pretty gross")."

So far in "Hannibal" season 3, the show is banking on exquisite shots, clever dialogues and dark tone. The grisliest it has shown is the giant heart inside the church Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) hallucinating to while looking for Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) in Italy.

As for the cancellation, Bryan Fuller said he is not surprised that they will end after "Hannibal" season 3. This is because NBC is not that invested on the show ever since the first season, mainly because of the low ratings performance, "pretty niche programming" due to its "dark" tone.

"[Jennifer Salke - NBC's Entertainment President] had been protecting the show for the first three years from the programmers who wanted to cancel it," Fuller said. "And we knew that she could only cover us for so long - so we had an idea that this was going to be the last season on NBC."

"[NBC has] really given us a long leash with which to tell our stories," he concluded. "I'm glad that we had the first three years - and hopefully we'll have another year someplace else."

The next "Hannibal" season 3 episode is called Contomo and will air on July 2.
